This year we've created a custom plantable paper made from 100% recycled paper, wildflower seeds, and non-toxic inks. This regenerative product is part of a campaign to build a solution based narrative on off-setting our carbon footprint.
For each plantable paper purchased, we will plant a tree on your behalf with One Tree Planted, a non-profit who focuses on worldwide reforestation by working with rural communities. We will donate to their Rwanda chapter which funds a women led cooperative. You end up with a small wildflower garden while planting a tree to offset your carbon footprint through providing jobs for women. This creates what we believe is a closed loop, solution based narrative around global warming.
This is also a great gift you can send to a friend and still get the benefits of knowing we will plant a tree on your behalf.

STEP 1 - PREPARE YOUR POT Fill your pot 2/3 full with good potting soil. Tamp down the soil and add more if necessary. You want the pot to be firmly full, but not packed. The paper can be planted indoors or outside, so you get to choose according to the temperature and conditions at the time of planting (we don't recommend planting outside if it's blizzarding or desert-hot!).
STEP 2 - PLANT THE PAPER Take your plantable paper and tear it into small pieces, about 1 inch. Cover the soil in the prepared pot with the paper. It's okay if the paper overlaps. Spread a 1/2 inch layer of soil over the plantable paper pieces and tamp down gently.
STEP 3 - WATER DURING GERMINATION After planting the paper in your pot, give it a good soak. You want the paper and the soil to be nicely damp but not swimming in water. During the first 10 days, keep the paper moist at all times. The water is necessary for germination.
STEP 4 - CARE AFTER GERMINATION On sprouts appear, continue to keep the paper moist but be careful not to overwater. Once sturdy plants appear, water as needed.
*Due to COVID-19, we will only be shipping domestically in the US for this product. We apologize in advance and hope to reignite this on a larger scale when the crisis subsides. *
